Adam Humphries spent six seasons in the TFL, playing his first five with the Dallas Warhawks before finishing his career with the Orlando Spartans in Season 6. Although his career was relatively short, Humphries established himself as one of the more accomplished return specialists of the TFL's early seasons.

Humphries earned two Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro honors during his career. His production included seven receiving touchdowns, two return touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown for 10 total touchdowns. While his offensive numbers were modest for a wide receiver, much of his individual value came from his role as a return specialist.

Team success was also a consistent part of Humphries' career in Dallas. Five of his six seasons ended at .500 or better, and he reached the playoffs four times while contributing to four division championships. However, unlike several other Hall of Fame candidates, Humphries never reached a conference championship or Super Bowl.

Humphries has a difficult Hall of Fame case. With only two return touchdowns, no major individual award, and a six-season career, he also lacks one of the exceptions that could overcome that requirement.
