What's New in Season 7?

Season 7 marked the return of the TFL Rookie Draft, bringing another class of young talent into the league while continuing the roster-building system introduced three seasons earlier. The season also featured a major expansion of the TFL trading card set, along with another franchise logo update.

Second TFL Rookie Draft

The TFL Rookie Draft returned for the second time in league history.

Like the inaugural Rookie Draft in Season 4, the draft consisted of 4 rounds and 128 total selections. Draft order was determined by each franchise's combined regular season record from Seasons 4–6, with the team holding the worst record receiving the first overall pick and the best team selecting last in each round.

Franchises were once again permitted to trade players and draft picks before the draft, and undrafted rookies became eligible to sign during the second wave of free agency following the draft.

Expanded Trading Card Set

Season 7 introduced a completely redesigned TFL trading card set.

Unlike the previous two releases, which featured only offensive players, the Season 7 collection expanded to include defensive and special teams players. The new set also introduced an entirely new card design, increasing the total collection from 288 cards to 540 cards.

This expansion made the trading card set a more complete representation of the league and added another unique way to preserve TFL history.

Franchise Identity Updates

The Los Angeles Lancers unveiled a new primary logo, continuing the gradual evolution of franchise branding across the league.
