Following the league's first expansion in Season 10, Season 11 focused on refining the newly expanded TFL. The most significant change came in the form of a redesigned 16-team playoff format, while several franchises continued updating their visual identities with cleaner, higher-quality logos.
Although the league continued to send 16 teams to the postseason, the playoff structure was redesigned to reward regular-season success while creating additional postseason excitement.
The updated format featured:
16 playoff teams (8 from each conference)
The No. 1 seed in each conference received a bye directly to the Divisional Round
The No. 7 and No. 8 seeds competed in a new First Round "Play-In" Game
The postseason now consisted of First Round, Wild Card Round, Divisional Round, Conference Championships, and the Super Bowl
This format rewarded the league's top regular season teams while giving lower-seeded franchises an opportunity to earn their place in the main playoff bracket.
Season 11 continued the league's ongoing effort to modernize franchise branding.
A total of 11 franchises introduced updated primary logos:
Atlanta Pumas
Canton All-Stars
Hawaii Warriors
Houston Rustlers
Kansas City Badgers
Los Angeles Lancers
New Jersey Wings
Pittsburgh Ironmen
San Francisco Earthquakes
St. Louis Rebels
Tampa Bay Waves
Many of these updates were made to replace older logos that still contained visible Placeit watermarks, resulting in cleaner and more polished franchise identities while preserving each team's history.
