Fullback
Season 1 - Season 19
One of the most dominant and respected fullbacks of the TFL era, C.J. Ham built a reputation as the engine behind some of the league’s most physical rushing attacks. Over a 19-season career, Ham played for the Hawaii Warriors (Seasons 1–12) and the Orlando Spartans (Seasons 13–19), becoming one of the most decorated players ever at the fullback position.
Ham began his career in Season 1 with the Hawaii Warriors and quickly established himself as a cornerstone of the offense. Known for his powerful blocking, relentless effort, and toughness between the tackles, Ham became the type of player whose impact went far beyond the stat sheet. His ability to open running lanes, pick up critical short-yardage situations, and control the physical tone of games made him an invaluable piece of Hawaii’s success throughout the early years of the league.
During his time with the Warriors, Ham developed into one of the most consistently elite fullbacks in the TFL. His dominance at the position was reflected in his nine Pro Bowl selections and nine All-Pro honors, an extraordinary accomplishment for a player whose primary responsibilities centered on blocking and physical play. While his statistical production was modest compared to skill-position players, he still contributed six career touchdowns, including five rushing scores and a receiving touchdown, often in critical short-yardage situations.
After twelve seasons in Hawaii, Ham signed with the Orlando Spartans in Season 13 and continued to play an important leadership role late in his career. His veteran presence helped guide Orlando to an NFC Conference Championship appearance in Season 15 and kept the Spartans competitive during multiple playoff runs. Across his career, Ham helped lead his teams to ten winning seasons, eight playoff appearances, and seven division titles.
Although fullbacks rarely receive the spotlight, C.J. Ham’s longevity, elite accolades, and physical impact on winning football made him one of the defining players at his position. His nearly two decades of toughness, leadership, and consistency cemented his legacy as one of the premier fullbacks in TFL history.
