Drafted by the Louisiana Oxen in the inaugural Season 1 draft, Jones wasted no time establishing himself as a disruptive force, earning two team Player of the Year honors during his first three seasons.

In Season 4, Jones signed with the Houston Rustlers, where he reached the peak of his career. His dominant Season 6 performance earned him Linebacker of the Year honors, an All-Pro nod, a Pro Bowl selection, and an AFC Championship win. Over eight seasons in Houston, Jones became the heart of the defense, helping the Rustlers make consistent playoff runs.
