Drew Brees was selected in the first round of the Season 1 Inaugural Draft by the Miami Sharks with the 9th overall pick. A veteran presence with elite accuracy and leadership, Brees was brought in to anchor the new franchise and delivered immediately, spending all three of his TFL seasons in Miami.

During his tenure, Brees led the Sharks to three straight winning seasons and playoff appearances, capturing one division title along the way. Known for his quick release and command of the offense, Brees threw for 83 touchdown passes and added two more scores on the ground, bringing his total to 85 touchdowns over three years — an average of 28.3 per season. He recorded one season with over 30 touchdowns and had eight games with at least three passing touchdowns, including two outings with four.

Brees earned one Pro Bowl selection and was twice named Miami Sharks Player of the Year. His consistency, veteran poise, and ability to elevate his teammates helped make Miami an immediate contender in the league’s early years.

He retired after Season 3, leaving behind a legacy of precision and leadership that helped shape the identity of the Miami Sharks in the early days of the TFL.
