Defensive Tackle
Season 1 - Season 16
Michael Pierce was a dominant and durable force on the interior defensive line for 16 seasons, renowned for his ability to clog running lanes, collapse the pocket, and provide steady leadership. Drafted in the 3rd round of the inaugural Season 1 Draft by the New York Howlers, he quickly became a reliable presence in the middle, helping the team reach the Super Bowl in just his second season.
After four seasons in New York, Pierce signed with the Seattle Scorpions, where he continued his high level of play and was instrumental in leading them to an NFC Championship in Season 7. In Season 9, he joined the New Jersey Wings, where his veteran presence became a cornerstone of their defense. It was in New Jersey that Pierce earned all three of his career Pro Bowl selections, the first coming in Season 13, proving his elite performance even deep into his career.
Pierce’s postseason résumé is highlighted by a rare achievement — reaching the Super Bowl with three different franchises (Howlers, Scorpions, and Wings). Over his career, he appeared in 12 postseasons, won six division titles, and capped his journey with a Super Bowl victory in Season 16 with New Jersey. His ability to remain a consistent, game-changing defensive tackle for over 15 seasons secures his place among the league’s most respected interior defenders.
