Fullback
Season 1 - Season 7
Patrick DiMarco, a reliable and selfless fullback, spent his entire seven-season career with the San Francisco Earthquakes from Season 1 through Season 7. Though he never lit up the stat sheet, DiMarco was a cornerstone of the Earthquakes’ offense—valued not for flashy numbers, but for his consistency, toughness, and elite blocking ability that opened up the run game and protected the quarterback.
Signed in Season 1 as one of the Earthquakes’ debut acquisitions, DiMarco instantly carved out a role as a lead blocker and special teams contributor. Over the years, his unheralded work in the trenches earned him widespread respect from teammates and coaches alike. His ability to clear lanes and execute key blocks helped elevate the Earthquakes’ rushing attack and contributed to multiple postseason pushes.
Though he did not accumulate individual offensive stats, DiMarco’s impact was recognized through two Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro honors. He played on three teams that finished with winning records, helped San Francisco secure three playoff appearances, and was part of three division title runs.
DiMarco retired following Season 7, having spent his entire career with one franchise. Quietly vital and fiercely dependable, he represents the rare kind of player who thrives in a thankless role and leaves behind a legacy defined by grit, leadership, and sacrifice.
