Ray-Ray McCloud III spent his entire 10-season TFL career with the Chicago Bolts, giving him a strong connection to a single franchise. From Season 10 through Season 19, McCloud provided Chicago with value as both a wide receiver and return specialist, becoming a consistent piece of the team throughout the decade.

McCloud earned two Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro honors, giving him four major individual recognitions. He finished his career with 23 receiving touchdowns, two return touchdowns, and one rushing touchdown for 26 total touchdowns. While those numbers are not overwhelming for a traditional wide receiver, his contributions were spread across multiple roles, and his special-teams ability adds value beyond his receiving production.

Chicago experienced moderate success during McCloud's career. The Bolts finished .500 or better six times, made five playoff appearances, and won three division titles. McCloud also reached an NFC Championship Game, although Chicago lost its only conference-title appearance during his career. He therefore lacks the Super Bowl appearances and championships that strengthen many other borderline Hall of Fame résumés.
